A Memorial Day Remembrance: James Donnie Howe
He enlisted from Liberty…in the USMC
to fight for another kind of liberty in a foreign land
When it came to bravery he took a stand...
not a second thought about what he ought
There was no time…no other way
He threw himself upon a grenade
that brothers might live another day
He sleeps now secure in Liberty
a hero to always be remembered
and a reminder that…freedom is not free

it is bought by heroes like thee...
sleeping the peace of the brave
...safe now...forever in Liberty...
