A
REPLY TO A LATE NITE POEM |
I,
too, am alone, at night, |
and
lonely - |
and
sometimes |
scared..... |
but
I think to the |
future |
and
possibilities of |
"might"
and "may" |
Hopefully,
if I |
survive
the lonely |
night
- |
the
sun will shine |
next
day... |
and
I can write a poem, |
or
take a picture |
of
a dog on ice |
or
a cardinal in the snow. |
This
is how I deal |
with
loneliness |
which
has always lived |
in me - it's the only way I know. |
