Dear Hilda.
My best friend is going after my old man and I am not sure what
to do about it. On one hand I resent her going after him. On the other
hand it would be a relief to get rid of him and I hate to lose a good
friend over such a minor matter. What do you think I ought to do?
Upset
Dear Upset,
Depending on how you feel about losing you good friend I would
take my old man’s gun and hunt the woman down and show her it does not
pay for her to mess with my man. I, However, am not you so I would
advise you to find a good lawyer before he does.
Dear Hilda,
The other night me and my old man were out
with some friends and my old man found a wallet on the floor of the bar.
The wallet contained a lot of cash and no ID. My friends say we should
share the money with them. I think we should keep it for ourselves. What
do you think?
Waiting
Dear Waiting,
Just how much money are we talking here? Seriously I think you
should take the money to the local police dept. If it is not claimed in
90 days the police will give it to you and by then your friends will
have forgotten all about it.
Dear Hilda,
I know you are going to think this is a strange letter but my
best friend is stealing from the company she works for. It’s nothing
serious, just a pen and a pencil here and there and maybe a few paper
clips but I am afraid it will lead to something bigger. The other day I
saw her looking at a computer that had just been set up on her desk. Do
you think I should tell the boss about it?
Need To Know
Dear Need To Know,
I saw the address that was on your return envelope and am
reasonably sure this is a hoax or prank so I will not bother to answer
the pettiness you have expressed. I will, however, ask you if the
thought had crossed your mind that perhaps your friend was looking at
the computer because she was trying to figure out how to use it, not
because she was planning on stealing it?
