Alone in the World

A man of surpassing intelligence,

bright-eyed and with a winsome smile.

Tall, athletically built.

Articulate.

At ease in most situations,

commands respect effortlessly,

almost negligently.

Women desire him,

men admire him.

But in his innermost self, none of it matters:

He remains alone in the world.
