Today we lost our best friend |
His name was Bambamm |
He was our four legged son |
The prettiest Cocker Spaniel we ever saw |
Bambamm had the spirit of a little boy |
Oh how he loved playing with all of his toys |
He loved balls in every size and shape |
Toy trucks were his favorite |
In the morning we would tend to the garden |
Where his best friend Rocky the squirrel would greet him |
Every morning Rocky would say hello |
He loved the little guy |
How much he loved him so |
Our little guy would make the garden rounds |
Chasing the birds and looking for balls |
His favorite tree was the orange tree
Bambamm knew for sure it grew balls just for him |
So he would yank on the tree’s branches |
Until all the oranges fell to the ground |
He one by one he would try everyone
Until he got his favorite orange ball for the day |
When we would leave our house Bambamm
Would sit in the front window waiting for hours for us to come
home |
Poor little guy would be sitting here all alone |
He would say I have my favorite ball and I am ready to play |
Don’t they realize I been waiting all darn day |
When we would walk through that door |
Bambamm run up and wag his little tail |
He would kiss each of us on our face |
His tail would spin in a circle and rotate faster than a
propeller |
Bambamm knew it was time play with him |
He would bring me his latest favorite ball |
We go to our special place in the garden where we played |
As I sat on my favorite bench |
Bambamm had the happiest little face
A smile from floppy ear to ear |
He would show me his love |
The yard was full of flowers a beautiful site to see |
Bambamm loved the grass it was so thick and cool |
Bambamm hated when the sun began to fade away |
Because he knew his play time would come to an end |
But it was not a total lose |
Because Bambamm knew the best part of the day was yet to come |
As we would yell “Hey little guy” it’s dinner time |
Our little guy we held in the palm of our hands
When he was born and just a tiny pup |
He lived with us both for fourteen long years |
One day he just stopped playing with his toys |
He started to ask us for more time
To hold him and kiss |
We both told him how much he was loved |
We thanked him for all of his loving years |
And all the time he spent |
With each of us |
But his time was coming to an end |
His days of waging his little tail
Were now still |
He no longer could walk very well |
One morning we saw him say good bye
To all of his garden friends |
Rocky came up to him and just stood next to him |
They just sat and looked at each other for a long time |
Our little guy was saying all of his good byes |
The night before he passed |
We both held him in our arms |
We hugged and kissed him all night long |
We both said our so longs each in our own way |
They say every pet crosses over a Rainbow Bridge
That takes then straight to heaven |
GOD personally comes to greet them |
Because of their loving service they gave to their humans |
When our little guy crossed the Rainbow Bridge |
GOD personally came just to meet him |
GOD said “Hello Bambamm don’t be afraid” |
You have come to a very special place |
Only the pets that loved their Humans
Make over the Rainbow Bridge |
Here you’ll be happy until the time
Comes when you’ll see Lorie and Ruby again |
Until then I brought you your favorite orange ball tree |
It will give you a shady place wait with thick cool grass |
Every day I’ll get you a new favorite ball |
Here you’ll have all of your favorite treats to eat |
There’s a water fall that stays cool all day if you need to
drink |
One day you’ll get to kiss Lorie and Ruby again |
This I promise you my special little friend |
You’ll have your Human family when it’s their time |
But until then Bambamm will you play ball me |
If I get tired of throwing your ball
I have a whole army of saints and angels |
Willing to play with you all day
Until you see your Human family again |
When it’s their time to cross over the Rainbow Bridge |
In Loving Memory of our son Bambamm
