 BRAVE YOUNG SOLDIERS

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

I know the truths you believe to be true

I know the feeling as you pump out your chests

I know you will die so we can rest….

Free in our country and in the world at large

Your dreams in flags and sparkling stars

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

I know what your leaders tell you is not true

I know you don’t question, it’s just yours to do

You follow the orders they make you do

But they follow orders, not from people like you

But from they that exploit, the red white and blue

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

In a lifetime passed, I believe I was you

The people in charge, you will never see,

They are beyond your generals and military

They are getting rich while they send you to war

And fighting for freedom ain’t what it’s for

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

And know I will always stand behind you

But if I protest what they send you to do

Believe it has nothing, to do with you

And I’ll support you and praise you; I’ll salute you

But mostly brave soldiers, I’ll cry for you.
