Bonnie

Bonnie was a Roller Doll
A punk third-wave feminist
A hundred pounds and six feet tall
She jammed with a heavy fist

She wore skates of bloody red
Flames tattooed on her arms
She was a wildcat, it was said
With a measure of girlish charm

She skated the roller derby
For almost sixteen years
When she retired early
Her team mates shed no tears

She was a Jammer, they say the best
But she burned out early on
They say she lost her zest
When she put her tutu on
