Cloudy Skies
I stood upon a mountaintop
And searched the clouds up high
While there the words still failed me
As I vainly searched the sky
What are we God, I need to know
Why have we done this thing?
It's said we're in your image
But our hearts, they do not sing
What is it now inside of us?
That feeds the shadowed heart
And leads us to the darkness
That is tearing us apart
Your children cry out to you
In their need to know much more
Yet peace and love inside the heart
Is all they're looking for
