Daring To Grieve

Pain and grief have come again

And I am hidden inside my walls

Wall so thick and so dense

Nothing can touch me within

No tears are enough

No censure too harsh

For happiness is gone

It has slipped away

Dare I venture outside...

To breathe in the pain soaked air

To see if my heart can beat again...

To see if it even still exists...
