D-Day 6 June 1944

66th Anniversary

D-Day Soldiers’ Request

Teach our young to remember the soldiers of today
and give honor to all who fought in this D-Day fray
...I am an old soldier…who must now go home...
must go away…leaving my memories alone
No one will be able to trace my footprints...

on the shifting sands of time
and all that will be left is bleached bones...

of these memories of mine

Pray...teach the children to pass our story on...

so that our memory never dies...

nor our honor ever be gone
May their new memories take root and flower
...and with the seeds...sow memories for tomorrow
of old soldiers who fought…in America’s finest hour...
