DEATH IS
Death is for those who need
dying
Death comes to those who aren’t
trying
Death comes to loved ones left
crying
Death rules those who are
denying.
Some will call me a warrior, a
killer
I am what my country needed me
to be
Maybe I’m a little bit of a
savior
Who went in harm’s way so you
could be free.
Death has taken so many of my
brothers
Death made sad women of their
mothers
Death destroyed fiancés and many
others
Death is the only one it never
bothers.
I went over there because I was
given no choice
Couldn’t protest as I had no
voice
Upping the body count and fill
out the invoice
Kill all emotion and learn to
rejoice
Death has placed them all in
neat rows
Death makes sure a cemetery
grows
Death claims all the soldiers it
ever knows
Death gives them all tags on
their toes
All of us are coming back here
to our home
Every man vows he is done with
war and never will roam
Mind and body stressed by an
alien syndrome
We’re mad as dogs spitting up
foam.
Death is going to finally set us
all free
Death will put us in the ground
for you and me
Death won’t say who the winners
will be
Death is the final Liberty.
