Diuturnity…A Musing
Was it possible in the eternity
…before there was a 'now'
...before time was here languishing
on this spinning orb of sand
that all was quiet and peaceful
warm and dark…incubating...
Do you think it could be possible
that this world is just a fabrication
of a bored ancient god
and that the only reality
is in the diuturnity that is
between the blinks of his eyes
Could there come a time again
with no thought of end...
when all would be dark
and even death itself would sleep...
