From dust to dust the Bible said

It’s what’s between that counts

Live your life in a flower bed

Stay away from ill-borne doubts

Start your life on a righteous course

You may stray several times

Remember though there’s no remorse

When you taste life’s lemons in bad times

Share the nectar of the flower

With family and with friend

Step from your ivory tower

Be ready to give and bend

When it’s time to return to dust

You’ll have a legacy of good

You’ll have gained the worldly trust

Of those knowing where they stood
