EARLY MORNING MIST

It is cool

and quiet

I am coming

to life again

Becoming aware

of my surroundings

Becoming myself

once more

Forgetting bad things

and remembering good.

I look up and see

a smudge of mist

a charcoal rendering

Of early morning mountains.
