EARLY MORNING THOUGHTS

I have two dogs -

They sleep with me

and I sleep with the

window open

I watched this morning,

as they leaned their

chins on the window sill,

patiently watching,

eyes searching;

alert ~

waiting for the next something or

someone to come around

the bend;

anticipating, and ready

to make their presence

known.

I am so glad I'm not alone.
