Exposure
You’ve fought in the Vietnam War
You’ve humped in dry and wet soil
You’ve drunk from pools
While you were stranded in war’s turmoil
Napalm, chemicals, ‘n agent orange
Seeped through the atmosphere
Into everywhere and everything
Even through the pores of your gear
Bullet wounds, death and decay
Airborne illnesses and germs permeated
The lungs, wounds, skin and tastes
Interrogate your immunities repeated
Precautions or not, living and dying
Exposure of misfortunate killers
Hidden inside each soldier’s body
Awaiting for the attack of defense drillers
Not enough to get exposed in war
But returning home and living on base
Drinking water contaminated
Has set up suit for each exposure case
