~FAME~

Folks used to smile and say

he was destined for Fame.

He promised his parents

they'd never know shame.

In all that he did,

he was honest and brave ~

Then he went off to war,

Our Freedom to save.

He was our soldier

and he slumbers alone

His parents still wait,

for he never came home.

People come to pay homage;

he was destined for "Fame"

But, he is called "The Unknown"

for we don't know his Name.
