FFLYING LADY
Gracefully flying, but without wings on which to glide
Brushing on our world and rising into it for a breath
Not any clouds where she comes from to try to hide
That nemesis that seeks out all alive ends us- Death.
Does she consider her future as she gracefully glides
Beauty in song and grace of unreality so alien strong
What can trouble her as her flight is what she decides
Such beauty so unearthly that lasts all of her life
long.
Would that I fit my world as well as she completes
hers
It is hard to believe that once she lived where I now
cower
But that to even go near her home I must dress up in
furs
And maybe use some lenses to look out at her from a
tower.
I inhabit a small spot and travel only a very few
miles
The Lady has all the entire world to make into her
home
So few things in my life can bring me to tears and
smiles
But the Lady’s song does and she sings while on the
roam.
To enter her world was found to be such a dumb thing
I couldn’t go nearly far enough to see all of her
flight
But I was driven to hear her as she would joyfully
sing
She was so far away that she was completely out of
sight.
I had to escape there and go get another breath of air
When I saw a motion I knew must be her or my end
And the Lady appeared to come from out of nowhere
She and I could not be lovers, but she was my friend.
So all you rovers that want to follow the life of the
sea
I want to introduce you dogs to the real Lady of the
Ocean
This whale, my dear Lady is the beauty that is truly
free
To roam the world from warm tropics to the north
frozen.
Honor her natural Grace as you must admire her great
beauty
Hear her songs of her life she lives all over in the
seven seas
Nature and God laid out the plan for her roam oh so
freely
Unlike all of us worms, she’ll go anywhere she might
please.
