Friendship

Friendship’s eyes are full of sunshine,

Understanding, trust, and care;

Friendship’s smile brightens your heart;

It banishes darkness hiding there.

Friendship’s touch bolsters courage

With added strength to banish doubt;

Friendship always finds your sorrows,

And one by one, helps cast them out.

Friendship’s strength guards you always

Never wavering, ever true;

Friendship nurtures the God-given grace

That dwells, constant, inside of you.

Hold it closely, treasure it dearly,

Warm and hallowed within your soul;

When evil seeks to splinter your world

Friendship’s bonds will keep it whole.
