THE HAPPY ENDING

Father, you've come home at last

from the battlefield, afar!

Yes, my young one, I have come home

from the battlefields of war.

Such a scene has been repeated

through all of history ~

The child welcomes home the father,

this is no mystery.

Daddy, you've come home at last

Daddy, are you home to stay?

For awhile, my darling child,

until I'm called away.
