He Will Always Be 18

He felt the thrill of making the running the winning touch down

He was only 18

He signed up to serve his country

He was only 18

He was not allowed to vote

He was only 18

With tears in his eyes he went to a far away land

He was only 18

He felt the fear of being shot at

He was only 18

He knew the meaning of the word loyalty

He was only 18

Those he served with need his help

He was only 18

He asked no questions just jumped in the battle

He was only 18

His friend will always remember him

He will always be 18
