| I Never Knew Them
A picture is all I have, no memory of either one A brave young sky trooper and beautiful Indian maiden
Two hearts beating together as one, love found at last Together but a moment in time, but enough, in her womb a new life
This brave young sky trooper and her twin brother to Viet Nam do go She waited at home, his letters her life, her now heavy with child.
For an eternity, she waits for her soldier to come home, her life on hold. Sorrow comes one day; he is no more, his life he has given. Ambushed, all are gone; Words of Horror to her life do come.
Her husband KIA, her brother MIA, her heart broken, her life a shamble, Within her a life continues to grow, her heart broken; she is alone.
Soldiers come to her door; her sky trooper is no more, his life's blood gone, in a place called Viet Nam, her heart frozen, his child is all she has left, all that is good of the life they had planned.
He sends her Love home, home from that place called Viet Nam. She gives her Love to his Gods, Her heart broken she lives for their child.
Their child will never know the sound of his voice or the warmth of his touch. She calls his name every night; Her voice breaking as she Damns that place called Viet Nam.
Her own life will be but five more short years, then will be taken by demons and devils; Their child left alone but for her brother of the same blood.
Many years later his life he will give, her father will lose his last fight for life, his body riddled with cancer and wracked with pain; he cannot win his last fight from that place called Viet Nam.
DAMN VIET NAM!!
