Memorial Day 2009
So many marble stones of Remembrance…
More than the eye can see at a glance
...Row upon row in this reverend place...
Memories gathered together in one space
For a brief moment they were ours alone
But their heroic deeds have taken them home
Their names are written upon history’s pages
And now these brave soldiers belong to the Ages
Once again with reddened eyes and damp tissues
We pay homage with sad yet gladdened heart
Proud there are such brave men as these
Who were true and never failed to do their part
