John Jacobs

U.S. Army

Can’t

Trying for years only to forget the past

A haunting wispy shadow is always cast

Eyes that are closed tight don’t help at all

Ears that fail to shut out a lonely wolf’s call

Why does being in this world have to be so sad?

Nothing that’s good comes out of a war, only bad

Living a life only to end up killing a fellow man

Wishing the Lord had come up with a better plan

Can’t ever get back what is lost

Can’t ever figure out the total cost

Can’t ever go back to what it was

Can’t ever undo the harm it’s caused

Bittersweet memories that I can’t stand

Never able to enjoy a Saturday night band

Thoughts of the ones lost I’ll always despise

Robbing the joy of seeing a new sunrise

Jake's Closet

No Name City

Those Faded Shadows

Who You Calling Lucky?

Simmering

Ya We Know

Silent Screams

No Free Mornings

Nasty

Doing The Time
