"Past History"
In the past, I have done many great things. For starters, I will begin with my travel exploits. At four months of age, I took my very first round-trip airplane flight. I visited Canada with my parents when I was four years old.
When I was nine years old, I spent the winter in Germany, France, and Switzerland. The nest winter, I spent my time in Mexico. At 11 years old, I traveled without my parents and took a summer vacation in the South Pacific.
I have won first place in history and science fair competitions in elementary and middle school. I have also won many medals and trophies in local, state, national, and international Tae Kwon Do competitions.
"My Biographer (Mom) and Me"
Malcolm A. Richardson was born December 14, 1992, in Dallas, Texas. From an early age, he enjoyed running, jumping, and building things. At two years ten months, he started Tae Kwon Do – applying his skills of agility and the ability to learn quickly. Malcolm also built structures using materials ranging Duplo® and Lego® blocks to cardboard and toothpicks.
He has a sense of humor and often entertains himself watching comedic movies or television programs. Being a well-rounded child, he has tried his hand at sketching and painting as well as experimenting with simple electric circuits and magnets. Malcolm has played most team sports, and also tennis and golf.
This school year, Malcolm will begin running cross-country, continue Tae Kwon Do, and play soccer. He gets plenty of exercise riding his bike to school and plans to become an engineer or architect. Happy for a challenge, he scores high points on “Family Feud” and Bible study class quizzes.
We are proud of Malcolm and his many accomplishments. Malcolm wants to visit every continent on earth. To date, he has been to Canada, Mexico, three European countries, Australia and New Zealand. He keeps his feet on the ground, but is reaching for the stars.
"My Accomplishments"
One of my most memorable accomplishments was winning the fourth grade History Fair. My project was called, “John Brown and the Revolt Against Slavery”. On the day that the places were given, I didn’t completely listen until my name was announced for first place. Aside from being a memorable accomplishment, this was also one of the biggest surprises of my life (so far). I first became interested in the project because I wanted to know more about the efforts to stop slavery.
After winning the school History Fair, it was on to the Regional History Fair. At this competition, I won the first place medal and the best of show first place trophy.
"The Future and Me"
Next summer, I plan to go to South Korea. In the near future, I plan to go to Hampton University in Virginia and get a degree in engineering. Ten years from now, I plan to have traveled to all seven continents. So far, I’ve traveled to two other continents, seven other countries, and been to the Eiffel Tower. Approximately twenty to thirty years from now, I plan to own a housing development company.
"Sports and Me "
I’d have to say that I started doing sports on October 10, 1994, when I was nearly three years old. At this age, I began my ten year journey in Tae Kwon Do martial arts.
When I was nearing seven years old and it was three days from my birthday, which was 12/14/1998, I received my first Degree Black Belt. I am now twelve years old and on target to get my fourth degree Black Belt before I turn thirteen.
Since I was eight years old, I have participated in basketball, Little League Baseball, and Club Soccer. I will join the Pin Oak Cross Country Team this fall.
"My Goals"
One of my goals is to get my fourth degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do before I turn thirteen. When this happens, I will probably be the youngest fourth degree Black Belt in America.
Another one of my goals is to graduate high school in three years. I believe I can do this because I will probably have at least ten credits upon leaving middle school.
"At Ease"
My absolute favorite form of entertainment is going to the movies. I like movies because they make me feels so many emotions: happy…sad...(that’s about all I can think of). There are only two kinds of movies that I like – comedy and action. I watch television whenever I have a moment. My final favorite form of entertainment is the radio. When I listen to the radio, I like Jazz or R&B. Sometimes I listen to Pop and Reggae.
