to all the young men, who have yet to be gassed;

Send us your Men, the posters request;

War will be glorious, so send us your best!

The Army needs Men, from country and town ~

strong men who'll fight and not let us down.

Strong men and bright men, like little tin toys

set on a game board; Send me your boys!

See all the mothers standing, watching with fear,

mixed with some pride, as they weep a sad tear;

they will wait for the train to bear dear sons away ~

The Army needs men! There's no more to say.
