The Name Of The Game

War was the name of the game
…weren’t nothin’ there to do with fame
It was takin’ orders…getting’ along with others

It was plain survival of the strongest
and who could keep their wits the longest
It was all about keepin’ on tryin’...and dyin’

So the Vietnam War went down in history
It was just about not endin’ up in a cemetery
That war got its fame at last is no mystery

Fifty eight thousand names on the Wall
Not one of them fought for fame’s call
but...yes…They are famous…One and All
