Our Sons and Daughters

OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS

Here's to the Grunt at the front of the line,

and the Soldier who brings up the rear -

Here's to the men and women who serve

wherever it seems danger's near.

Here's to the SEAL, the Pilot, the Cook,

the Mechanics who work on the plane ~

Here's to the Nurse, the Doctor, the Corpsman

who bandage and soothe every pain.

My thanks to the Sailor, the Airman, the Sarge -

the Gunner, Marine, Chopper Crew...

Here's to them all,

our daughters and sons,

beloved young ones.

They do it for me

and for you.
