Please Help Me Stay in Your Keep
I don’t reach out to you, O God
Not like I used to at all times
of life
Spirituality has been on the
wane
Even through all the good and
strife
I know you’re always there for
all
‘Tis a promise among many from
you
Society and things are much
worse
Seems to be the normality in
view
Sometimes, my own heart speaks
Calls out to you, Dear Lord God
Jehovah is your name; I still
utter
No matter where the road I’ve
trod
Silent whispers from deep within
Thoughts convey innermost call
Woes, sorrows, sadness, ‘n
laughter
Battles the dark, depressive enthrall
This worldly society is rapidly
changing
Wickedness and evil rules the
roost
Please, do not leave me, O’ God,
Jehovah
Your encouragements will give a
boost
Isaiah says you are like a
shepherd
With your arm you collect the
little sheep
You carry them closely in your
bosom
Please help me fight to stay in
your keep
