PRAYER FOR A FRIEND

Dear God, I wonder
if you'll hear my plea
My friend is ill
and looks to me.
Help me to know
what words to say
what touch to give
at end of day.
What is needed?
Help me understand...
A sip of water?
a clasping hand?
If I can ease
a fear or two
Let me know, Lord,
what to say and do.
