I did not forget...
...I have a candle lit...
in it’s dancing light...I see
What friendship means to me
It is a heart not held back
...and given with it’s all
The shadows on the wall
...are of a departed one so dear...
...leaving just memories here...
Friendship is something you earn
Dreaming...I watch
the candle flame burn...

and a lovely lilac scent
still comes strongly from it
Dancing shadows reflect your memory
Forever that scent will remind me
that friendship is bought
and paid for with trust
Time has passed…as it must
A year has come and gone...and so
Dreaming still...I watch
the candle’s glow...
