In Memoriam

A star doth die yet its light still shines,
Though in my heart a sadness it defines,
That tears I shed for the loss of you,
A special friend a mortal one in few.
Sleep, Oh sleep, in peace where e'er you lie,
Beyond the hills, beyond the hunter's eye,
Where Eagles soar with wide-spread Golden wings,
Where the Spirit's Angels gather there to sing!
Where Sara Anne and Grey Eagle wait for you,
To revive your soul with a love so fresh and new.
God keep you, love you in His tender arms,
And bless your children with His magic charms.
So long as thought is mine I'll remember you,
A dear, dear friend so valued and so true.
