RELIGION & SCRIPTURE

I have reached an age where I can claim a view,

With as much merit as any one of you,

And I'm not fazed by bias in debate,

By folk who cannot with fairer thought relate.

Church religion to me is false and vain,

That those it favors defend it to their shame,

But understanding is my virtue there,

They've all been brainwashed with deliberate care.

Scripture was a process once in schools,

That gave the children understanding tools,

To learn the chapters of the Bibles texts,

To form clear thoughts that minds were not perplexed,

But Churches like to own and force their voice,

Upon children to young to really have a choice.
