Sad September

September
is here again
and again..
sadness begins

In the Gulf Coast
they fight for life
In Iraq continues
wars’ strife

I used to love the fall
That was before
NYC’s 911 call
and before
Katrina's landfall

I guess
I still love September..
despite the tragedies
to remember
Tragedies
that befell us all..
coming
with September’s call
and dear friends
who have died
but with the ever
changing tide
September always
comes again..
ushering
with her beauty
