Senior 2009
Dedicated to my daughter
This li’l girl of mine
All growed up just fine
We welcomed her birth
‘N taught all things of worth
An innate determination
To get to a certain destination
Kept the drive to keep trying
Even when disappointment was flying
Kindergarten was a milestone
From letters, numbers, ‘n word recognition
West Nichols Hills was elementary
Belle
Then came high school abilities
At Classen School of Advanced Studies
She played her viola with class
As fashionable attire don this lass
Accomplishments and awards
Principal honor rolls to perfect attendances
Been through up-hills and down
As the circle of life goes around
With some nicknames of “Syd,”
“Princess Two-Fingers,” “Baby Bop,” ‘n “Squid”
I’m proud of this li’l, big girl
It all seems so much like a dizzy whirl
But ‘tis another turning point in life
That’ll be filled with love, smiles, tears, ‘n strife
A college education is the plan
Psychology will fill her attention span
A continuation of playing the viola
As remnants of French spoken; ‘voila’
Another road to follow; paths full of decisions
Just remember our Creator and His admonitions
I love you!
