SMILE IN SILENCE
With age comes wisdom and with wisdom age, Less time to wander through the wind blown sage, Less time to love; to work on being kind... To gather good thoughts in a dying mind. What does it matter who rules the planet Earth? Tis not for me to debate a President’s worth, It is for the young, for my time has passed, I've rowed my boat and my net I've cast, Life is but memories beginning now to fade, Watching Children in sunlight from the shade. I have no time to challenge and to spite, Compare my truth and argue that it's right. Tis time to reflect on Spirits and of souls, And smile in silence as the day unfolds. © 1/3/2004 Colin F Jones
