Stumbling Through the Catacombs
Stumbling through the catacombs
In the dark recesses of my mind
Where no light has ever shown
Where no bright sun will ever shine
There are secrets sinister and dark
Of bloody battles fought long ago
How their memory left their mark
Why they took so many years to show
Memories that had been buried deep
With the hope they’d stay in the grave
Were resurrected with a vow to keep
The memories of the forgotten brave
The memories of soldiers gone
Should be brought into the light
Showing the final battle won
Bringing them out of an endless night
