"Foolishly insisted on joining. Served nearly 3 years, learning better and

then played the rest of  his life trying to forget... unsuccessfully."

PICK UP LINE

Nose is way down low in front on my car

Up in back, but it doesn’t go so very far

Finished in the summer when I first met you

While I was havin’ a Coke, or maybe two.

Down at the drive-in I first saw your pony tail

Bouncin’ in time to little Richard’s loud wail

I almost dumped my drink on my leather seat

I had to watch you sway as you walked so neat.

I started the roadster to follow you up the block

The engine was purrin’ as the radio began to rock

It’s the Wolfman somewhere south of the border

This was a situation that had to be made to order

I pulled my Deuce up real close to the left curb

You were the only person here I wanted to disturb

The engine was rumbling so I talked up extra loud

You smiled and the moon ducked behind a cloud.

I don’t know what I said, but it had to be real good

Next thing I know you are sittin’ where you should

Right here beside me with my hand on your knee

My new hot rod is rollin’ on with just you and me.
