Yesterday Ben Matson Married Mary Lou Morgan. It was a simple ceremony
in Calhoun County with only close family in attendance. During the
ceremony rings were exchanged and each ring had three small diamonds on
it.
It was a small thing to those in attendance, but to Ben and Mary Lou the
rings had a special meaning. The diamond on the left was for the past.
Those things that had come before they had met and the things that had
happened while they were going together. In time it would come to stand
for the past moments of their lives together and the love they had for
each other being less yesterday than today.
The second diamond was for today and the things they shared with each
other as the days went by and to remind them that they loved each other
more today than tomorrow.
The last diamond was for the future and all it held as their love grew
day by day knowing they would always love each other more today than
yesterday.
A simple ceremony with simple rings being exchanged by
two people that those in attendance would never question but
would remain as a constant reminder to Ben and Mary Lou of the strength
of their love. Whenever one would get upset with the other or lose
patience there was always the ring to remind them of what was, what is,
and what will always be diamonds.
