Puppies always make us smile, warm and cuddly they squirm, we sigh.

Three li'l girls also make us smile, curly hair, brown, yellow and gold

from the sun of Iraq, I'm told.

Three sisters who smile and pose for a picture as they hang their clothes

to a tree.

Their mother now hangs a Gold Star among the Blues.

They told Mom, it's not so bad we have puppies, don't you see and of course we are three.

I tried to make a poem from this but, I can't type any more. Can someone

please do it for me?

I HATE WAR

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Young puppies and young girls always make us smile
They are warm, cuddly and squirming as we sigh
At the lovely photo of the puppies and girls a while
All are high on laughter and the Iraqi sun as they shy
Away from their laundry and wait for a camera’s click
Now this happy pictorial scene makes mom and dad sick.
Death looks back out of that photo as one now is dead
Never to smile or be warm, cuddly or even squirm again
The pain is too much to bare as they sit with bowed head
And they pray to be spared loss of the other two girls when
The President by special decree keeps them home and well
Within the arms of parents who could stand no more hell.
Three they were now there’s two, if only one what to do?
Children are meant to outlive their oldies by many years
Why have we come to this agony of many untimely tears?
They were students one minute and now its time to rue
The effort to cut university costs with well earned booty
From a go with the military and weekend warrior’s duty.
A moment of girlish happiness caught by an unknown lens
All forgotten now are the lost puppies in their puppy pen.
 Puppies always make us smile,
cuddly,they squirm, we sigh.
Three little girls, together all the while;
I can't understand why one had to die......
They had brown curly hair,highlighted with gold
bleached by the sun of Iraq, I am told.
Three lovely sisters who smile as they pose
in a picture for mom,as they hang up their clothes....
Mom now hangs a Gold Star among the two Blues.
Mom isn't the same since she heard the news.
We have puppies; it's not so bad, don't you see?
And,of course, we're always together, we three.
First there were three, but now there are two
and their mother and father don't know what to do
Don't send our daughters back over there,
Beg the sad parents ~~ It's too hard to bear.
So, two girls are home, and one girl is gone
How will they find the strength to move on?
Who'll feed their puppies and cuddle them near
If they don't return ~ if they both stay here?
Heroines all, they have made us so proud
Wrap one in Honor;
make our Flag her soft shroud;
Wrap two in Bravery and shawls made of Love,
and know that He watches them all from Above.
