Thy Purple Emperor and His Lady Bug

Once upon a time

In a land of dreams

Lived a royal couple

Not as odd as it seems

He was of finest color

With the softest body

She was of daintiness

Whose body is hardy

He dines all night

While she feeds all day

He loves the green leaf

Her diet of aphids allay

The two eat and greet

With much fun panoply

Thy Purple Emperor

And his fair bug, the lady
