Time to Go

People crying,
Tears falling like rain.

Another funeral,
Too much god damn pain.

The one who died,
I still hold close.

The one who died,
I still love most.

Words were said,
Prayers were spoken.

My own pure heart,
Forever broken.

I wanted to die,
To be with him, too.

But something inside,
Said No, someone needs you.

I held the knife,
Justly so.
That the blood would flow,
And forever flow.

But before I could,
A voice spoke to me.

You cannot die,
Not yet,
Not thee.

Someone cares,
Someone needs your love.

Just as the one,
Who was sent above.

They need you Danielle,
You’re their rock,
You’re their hope.

They need you, Danielle.

Not yet,
Not your time to go.

Who is the man,
Or woman, or child,
I asked.

No reply,
Not for thee.

To this day,
I still wonder.

Who’s the man, the woman, or child.

That needs this heart.

Who needs me?
