For The Fallen
Autumn leaves
Falling among the tombstones...
A colorful litter
Upon the ground
Amidst the headstones of white
Leaves...fallen like you
All here is now peace
You have finally won
That for which you did fight
Flags now flutter proudly overhead
Of the place where you make your bed
Still your Brothers come
To stand in honor
Of all that you have done
They stand...
Heads bowed in the morning dew
This Veterans' Day
And I…just one of the protected
Head bowed...Stand here too
