you have traveled so long...
wondering why...on it...tribulations belong...
the hardships...the trials you have endured
the hopes and the freedoms you have secured
...finding pitfalls and thorns...
no longer looking for laurels to be adorned
Just America's child...seeking home
...sometimes traveling alone...
...always straight on the trail
that leads upward at last
...to a just reward for service...
