War’s Tragedy

I’m sad today

I don’t want to go on

My past has caught up with me

The tears keep welling

For deeds long ago

I’ll hide so no one can see

I’ll hold on for today

Tomorrow it may be gone

Something may set me free

Family and friends

Can’t help me now

It’s gone too far I see

I’ll pull it together

One more time

And chase the demons from me
