Who You Calling Lucky?
Thirty-five years of haunting thoughts just ain’t right Rolling over and screaming out loud in pure fright Hating the fact it has to happen almost every night The living or dead all came back using the same flight
Who you calling lucky for ever spending days like I have done Who you calling lucky when mothers can’t recognize their own son Who you calling lucky having fought a war nobody can say they won Who you calling lucky when staring eyes can’t see the miles I have run
Ohhh I’m not happy with the thoughts I’ve been chosen to endure So many horrors in my mind; seems the dead have found the only cure Widening scars that will always continue to bleed that’s for sure Longing to find that answer from which there will be some closure
Who you calling lucky just take a close look you will see Who you calling lucky because staying alive sure ain’t free Who you calling lucky when this life is upside down for me Who you calling lucky not knowing what the end will be. © Copyright 1/4/2006 by John Jacobs
